YOGA
Yoga
is said to have originated around 5,000 years ago in India. Yoga helps
to create harmony between the mind and body. With regular practice you
will begin to have more energy and feel happier in your everyday life
as yoga equips you with the tools to enable you to be happy and healthy.
My
yoga style is Anatomical flow, and includes asana (postures) linked
together in a functional way to improve strength and range of movement,
pranayama (breath work) to keep the heart, lungs and diaphragm
healthy, meditation/relaxation to improve concentration and create
calmness.
PILATES
Pilates
is a mind and body workout. It has been around for about 100 years and
takes most of its inspiration from yoga. Pilates will help to create a
strong and toned body and improve posture. My Pilates classes will
involve exercises on the mat or standing and sometimes using equipment
such and chi balls. All exercises are done with precision and control
and effortlessly flow from one to another.
